Annie and Marianne have been friends since 1989. They met at their first "real" jobs after college. Throughout the 20 years of their friendship, they've shared recipes and ideas about food. Letters and then emails (and now blog posts) over the years have had at least one sentence that started out, "You've GOT to try this new dish...." In 2009 they got together to explore ideas of a food-related business. The recurring theme was the need to instill in their children a love of good, real food. Quite simply, food made from scratch using local, seasonal ingredients.
